Just a few weeks after John Demathew Memorial happened that is after a year since that day that he died, and now his songs are played and are termed as part of Ngogoyo. and this is what many people expect to be done for all legends, approximately 10 years ago a benga star died, it was just after the Kikuyu radio station had started so we had well tasted his music which we can consider or say they were made in a series as he gave stories and made its continuation according to my knowledge by then he was from Kiambu county, a village in Thika called kiambogo which contributed toward calling his artistic music group Mbogoini boys band which once John demathew was a member.
In his music he always sang about how women can be trusted how he have always landed into trouble because of trusting women, how he have never met his real love and any time he does it ended in chaos, he liked singing mentioning and praising his mother wairimu who according to his music she lived in kiambogo, and that’s, where many people thought that he was laid to rest in peace until one of a vernacular Radio presenter Jeff Kuria did a story, that uncovered where the legend was buried that is in Nakuru county and in a cemetery and the question, is why not in his parent land that’s in kiambogo.
Due to the way people have embraced kikuyu oldies song after the introduction of a show by the name Ngogoyo by Kamau wa Kangethe Governor 048, Jeff Kuria called upon the Ngogoyo Fans to do something about Sam Kinuthia but up to date nothing have ever been done, the Legend died but his music still lives.. we should do something for the legend.
